2015 Willamette Valley Chardonnay

Aromas of green mango, lime oil, tart blueberry and a mineral brine. It opens chiseled, with dry minerality, and as it warms, more muskiness and warmth, with notes of Buddha’s Hand citrus, green apple, honeysuckle, mandarin, and chamomile. Fresh, subtle wood frames pillowy flavors of Asian pear, lemon, peach, lilac, and white flowers that have silky persistence, finishing long with hints of citrus, sweet nuttiness & oystershells. The acidity is bright and shines through the roundness in this young wine.  

Please decant and allow this wine to open with air.

Fermented slowly with native yeast, minimal lees stirring, and aged in a once filled Damy and two neutral barrels over eleven months. Racked to stainless steel for an additional 7 months on lees, this wine went through full, natural malolactic. Fifty 750ml cases, twenty-four magnums, and ten 375mL’s were hand bottled after 17 months. No additives were used except SO2. Sterile filtered.
